Agility
Agility will create a bond between the handler and the dog that is wonderful. It will also make you laugh! Agility training is the perfect substitute for hunting. They can run a course at top speed following their pack leaders instructions. We keep our beagles on a leash much longer that the other breeds.
Beagles are great dogs, in a small low maintenance package. It was hard to believe we would ever be able to trust a beagle off leash at a show. Beagles are so food motivated, thin slices of hot dog are the perfect training treat they go down quickly and your hands smell great to a beagle!
For Paul Bunyan Days our class put on a little show. We decided we’d take our chances, people were sitting around on picnic blankets eating BBQ .We thought the worst that would happen was Copper would get someone’s plate, but he didn’t run off during his run!
