Penny's Fourth Litter
Penny's fourth [and last] litter (with Dutch) She was very proud of herself with this litter, when ever you went into the bedroom she starts licking the babies all over. She wants you to notice how beautiful and strong they are, without a spot on them, and it’s all her doing!
At 4 days old off to the vet for a check up and the dew claws. By one week the puppies weighed 21 to 24 ounces. Mama Penny starts to leave the litter for 10 or 15 minutes at a time. They are still mostly sleeping and eating. At 2 weeks the babies weighed 31-33 ounces and are swimmers, scooting about on their bellies with their feet spread flat around them.
They have fat round bellies and pink feet and ear flaps start to grow and prepare to be ears! The black and white tri-colored babies start to show their brown. It starts to appear from underneath the black as the puppy grows. The duckling becomes the swan right before my eyes.
